Ingredient Breakdown
Vitamin A: Fat-soluble vitamin critical for vision, immune function, reproduction, and cellular communication.*
Vitamin D: Fat-soluble vitamin promotes calcium absorption, supports bone growth and remodeling, and modulates cell growth.*
Vitamin E: Fat-soluble vitamin is noted for its distinct antioxidant activities, limiting the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and protecting cells from the damaging effects of free radicals.*
Vitamin K: Fat-soluble vitamin required to synthesize proteins involved in blood clotting. Vitamin K also impacts bone metabolism and regulates blood calcium levels.*
Vitamin C: Water-soluble vitamin required for the biosynthesis of collagen, protein metabolism, and the absorption of non-heme iron.*
Thiamine: Also known as vitamin B1, this water-soluble vitamin plays a critical role in energy metabolism, ultimately impacting the growth, development, and function of cells.*
Riboflavin: Also known as vitamin B2, riboflavin serves as a precursor to two key enzymes involved in energy metabolism and cell growth. This B-vitamin also helps maintain normal levels of homocysteine in the body.*
Niacin: Also known as vitamin B3, niacin serves as the precursor to NAD, where it helps convert food into useable energy and assist in the repair and replication of DNA.*
Vitamin B6: Water-soluble B vitamin involved in cellular energy production, the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters, gluconeogenesis, immune function, and regulation of homocysteine levels in the blood.*
Folic Acid: Functions as a coenzyme involved in the synthesis of DNA and RNA and helps in converting homocysteine to methionine (an essential amino acid used in protein synthesis).*
Vitamin B12: Water-soluble vitamin required for proper red blood cell formation, neurological function, and DNA synthesis.*
Biotin: Helps convert carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in the food you eat into useable energy. This B-vitamin also impacts cell signaling, gene regulation, and histone modification.*
Pantothenic Acid: Also known as Vitamin B5, this water-soluble B-vitamin is needed to produce coenzyme A (CoA) and acyl carrier protein — two compounds essential for fatty acid synthesis and degradation.*
Calcium: Most abundant mineral in the body vital to bone health. It is also involved in nerve transmission, muscle function, vascular contraction and vasodilation, and intracellular signaling.*
Magnesium: Cofactor in 300+ biochemical reactions in the body, including protein synthesis, blood glucose control, muscle contraction, nerve impulse conduction, and blood pressure regulation. Magnesium also supports the transport of calcium and potassium ions across cell membranes.*
Zinc: Essential mineral affecting DNA synthesis, cell division, protein synthesis, immune function, and wound health. Zinc also supports normal growth and development.*
Selenium: Trace mineral which serves as a constituent of proteins involved in DNA synthesis, reproduction, cognitive function, thyroid hormone metabolism, protection from oxidative damage, and immune function.*
Copper: Essential mineral required for the production of red blood cells, absorption of iron, heart rate regulation and blood pressure, development and maintenance of bone, and immune system activation.*
Manganese: Mineral needed for wound healing as well as bone development and maintenance. Manganese also serves as a building block for superoxide dismutase (SOD), one of the most powerful antioxidants in the body.*
Molybdenum: Serves as a cofactor in the production of numerous essential enzymes in the body involved in converting sulfite to sulfate and xanthine to uric acid, as well as the breakdown of aldehydes.*
Iodine: Trace mineral essential for the synthesis of thyroid hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4), significantly impacting metabolism and protein synthesis.*
Potassium: Electrolyte that maintains intracellular fluid volume, regulates blood flow, and supports nerve transmission, muscle contraction, and kidney function.*
Iron: Required for the formation of hemoglobin, a protein in red blood cells that transfers oxygen from the lungs to the tissues. Iron is also needed for growth and development, hormone production, connective tissue synthesis, and normal cellular functioning.*
Chromium: Trace mineral involved in carbohydrate, protein, and fat metabolism and well-known to enhance the action of insulin in the body.*
Vanadium: Involved in the formation of red blood cells, metabolism of protein, carbohydrates, and fats, and may enhance the effects of insulin.*
Alpha Lipoic Acid: An organic compound found within every cell of the body that functions as a powerful antioxidant. ALA also helps digest, absorb, and produce energy and even exert a nootropic effect in the brain.*
Cinnamon Extract: Pungent spice packed with antioxidants noted to have potent anti-inflammatory properties. Cinnamon has also been documented to improve insulin sensitivity, lower blood sugar levels, and exert anti-diabetic activity.*
Inositol: Sometimes referred to as vitamin B8, inositol isn’t actually a vitamin but a type of sugar that serves as a major structural component of cell membranes. This versatile nutrient also influences the action of insulin and various neurotransmitter systems, including serotonin and dopamine.*
Boron: Multi-faceted micronutrient affecting a diverse array of processes in the body, including the growth and maintenance of bone, wound healing, magnesium absorption, increasing levels of antioxidant enzymes, reducing inflammatory markers, and modulating the body’s use of important hormones such as testosterone and estrogen.*
Astaxanthin: Carotenoid naturally occurring in seafood, similar in structure to beta-carotene. It functions as a powerful antioxidant in the body and has been noted to protect DNA in the eyes from UV light and reduce blood sugar levels and oxidative stress.*
Resveratrol: Powerful phytochemical found in grapes documented to lower blood pressure, improve lipid profiles, combat inflammation, and increase insulin sensitivity. Some additional research even suggests that the polyphenol may increase longevity.*
Grape Seed Extract: Rich in antioxidants, polyphenols, anthocyanins, and flavonoids that may help protect against oxidative stress, tissue damage, and inflammation. Grape seed extract has also been found to improve blood flow, wound healing, and skin quality.*
Fruit and Vegetable Blend: We’ve all been told about the importance of eating enough fruits and vegetables as children. Yet, few of us achieve the recommended 3-5 daily servings of these micronutrient powerhouses. Steel Multi-V® includes a diverse fruit and vegetable blend consisting of broccoli concentrate, watercress, and Nordic Cherry® to supply a vast spectrum of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and beneficial phytochemicals to support health and wellness.*
Absorption Support: A multivitamin/multimineral is only as effective as your body’s ability to absorb and utilize the micronutrients contained in it. To support ingredient bioavailability and absorption, Steel Multi-V® includes both BioPerine® and Bromelain — a digestive enzyme naturally occurring in pineapple noted for its anti-inflammatory actions.*
Suggested Use
As a dietary supplement, mix one serving (one level scoop) of Steel Multi-V® with 6-8 fl. oz. of cold water (adjust for taste preferences) and consume with a meal such as breakfast every day. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water daily.
Note: Some individuals may experience a harmless tingling, flushing effect on the skin after consuming the product attributed to Niacin.
